Solution

There are several approaches to establish effective communication for DataHub updates:

Option 1: DataHub Cloud Subscriptions & Notifications (Recommended for Cloud Customers)

Navigate to your DataHub Cloud UI
Go to Settings → "My Notifications" for personal alerts, or visit the group page → Notifications tab for team alerts
Enable Slack or email notifications and provide the relevant channel or user ID
Select the types of changes to monitor:
- Schema changes
- Incidents
- Deprecations
- Release notes
Save your notification preferences

Option 2: Shared Slack Channel

Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or DataHub Support
Request creation of a shared Slack channel for your organization
Provide a list of team members who should have access
Work with your security team if organizational approval is required for external Slack channels
Once approved and created, you can invite additional users from your organization

Option 3: Email Distribution via CSM

Contact your assigned Customer Success Manager
Request to be added to email distribution for release notes before upgrades
