Issue
Email notifications for compliance forms are not being sent correctly, or there is confusion about how to configure compliance workflow notifications to ensure stakeholders receive appropriate alerts.
Solution
Note: For DataHub Cloud customers, infrastructure-level changes are managed by DataHub Support.
Configure compliance workflow notifications:
- Navigate to Settings → Notifications
- Set up notification rules for compliance form events
- Configure email recipients for compliance updates
Verify SMTP configuration:
- Check that DataHub SMTP settings are configured correctly
- Test email delivery with a simple notification first
- Review GMS logs for email sending errors
Set up compliance workflow:
- Create compliance form in Settings → Forms
- Assign form to relevant assets or domains
- Configure notification triggers (form assigned, form completed, etc.)
For cloud customers:
- Contact support to review notification configuration
- Support can verify SMTP relay settings
- Provide specific form IDs and expected recipients
Additional Notes
Test configurations in a development environment before applying to production. Always backup configurations before making changes.
